Use your smart phone such as iPhone to capture signature for Proof of Delivery (POD)


Capturing a recipient’s signature at the time of delivery is one the main methods used to document proof of delivery for shipments. Delivery companies can collect a signature in a paper hardcopy format or electronically through electronic devices such as Motorola’s MC or PD series devices.

Fortunately, new smart phones and tablet computers such as the iPhone, iPad, and Google Android devices are also able to capture recipient signatures upon delivery. Delivery drivers can use only one mobile device such as an iPhone for voice calls, messaging, navigation, barcode scanning (1D and 2D), and signature capture.

Furthermore, we have integrated this new technology with our SunTrack courier software to enable couriers to capture recipient signatures and attach the proof of delivery directly to the order in a few easy steps. The objective for adding this feature to SunTrack is to enable smart phones as a universal device that handles all the functions necessary for drivers to complete the delivery order process.
